No Resolutions, Only RRR

Posted By: Admin

A New year is a very special time, externally it marks the completion of one calendar year and marks the beginning of another.  What’s so great about that one may wonder ? Nothing great about that, except that a NEW YEAR is a great time for RRR -  REFLECTION, RESET & REFOCUS.

Reflection :  In today’s day of fast life, things are moving at the speed of light, you have to handle things in multiple ways you are talking to someone over your phone, writing a mail on your laptop and also answering message on whatsapp or your social media, we are bombarded with data and visuals.. within this it is very difficult to spend an hour on pure reflection. But it is important to drain out all your thoughts / distractions and have a ZEN like attitude and reflect on all the things that went by in 2020.  From a financial standpoint, reflect on where all did your monies go, where did it come from, where did you make the most returns, where did you lose, and then ask yourself why … you may not get answers to all these but the deep reflection will help you when you have to make some decisions in the future, using these learnings from the past.

Reset : Not all we set out to achieve in 2020 was achieved…..  some we succeeded and others we did not. Each of us starts the year with a multitude of goals and plans in various aspects of our life, be it health, wealth, relationships etc….forget the last year. Now rethink what you want from 2021. Visualise yourself having it on Dec 21. Contemplate deeply about your goals in 2021. The reflections of 2020 will help you fine tune this better and make you come up with tough yet achievable goals for yourself in various aspects of your life.

Refocus : Each goal that you have decided for yourself in 2021, must be subjected to refocus. For example if you want a powerful abs for yourself in 2021, then you must define a measure. So the measure can be the width of your abs or it can be the count to which you can hold a position like PLANK ( which is measure of your core strength) for 8 mins. If it is 8 mins that you need to achieve, you need to start with exercising your core every day starting with 3 sets of 20 sec each for the first two weeks, then move it to 40 secs, then to 60 seconds. So if every 14 days you increase your capacity by 20 seconds, then by the end of the year you will be able to do a PLANK for 8 mins which is pretty impressive. Will it be easy, hell no.. but it can be done if you are able to measure your progress and stay focused.

So this new year, what's your new Financial goal ?

It was never about the new year,  it was always about the belief in a NEW YOU.
