Recently there was news of Thyrocare being bought over by Pharmeasy, a startup in the medical and clinical distribution space. The news brought out aspects of Dr A Velumani’s life and how he built the extraordinary company Thyrocare ( to Rs 6000 Crores with a very limited capital of just Rs 2 lakhs of investments). The central theme of Dr A Velumani enterprise has been “ Privilege of Poverty'', the first talk of Dr A Velumani that I heard was at TIECON Chennai https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1mM4wt5DFnE
One of the extraordinary facts of Dr A Velumani’s success he attributes time and again is Poverty and Lack of adequate resources while growing up. I think back often to my own life and times when I have failed and looked for excuses like lack of money as the reason. Since Money cannot defend itself, it is an easy excuse for millions of us , so ask a business owner why he can’t grow, he will say lack of adequate money. Ask a new start up why he is struggling, the answer again may be “money”.
However we also come across Rags to Riches stories like that of Dr A Velumani who came with nothing to end up building a colossus.
So what’s the message from Dr Velumani’s life :
These same rules apply to you while growing your wealth as well.
Am sure if you followed these simple tips you would be wealthy in due course of time.
So learn to Think Differently, your greatest deficiency is actually your greatest strength, but only you can realize it.
